🟠Chapter 1: Diary of a Community Builder
May the journey of becoming a community builder begin!
👋 Community Padawans!
Welcome back to one more ConnectDots! I really hope this message finds you well.
Among other strategies, I believe that the best way to improve and learn a skill or a profession is by doing it. Much more when we talk about building communities, an area in which there is still much to explore.
In order to create a greater commitment of becoming a better community builder, I decided to start "The Diary of a Community Builder", where you will see me trying to become a community builder while working on building a community-driven brand, The Journey Endurance Club, a project focused making Trail Running one of the greatest sports in the world.
The idea is to share literally all the process with you: action plan, goals, experiments, and next steps. The goal is to create a video every week, potentially answer some of your questions, and share a few tips.
Personally, I decided to start this:
1️⃣ To have a greater commitment to learn and experiment and with the lessons learned along the journey, share with you mistakes and main conclusions;
2️⃣ It is a strategy to build in public.
Really excited about this and I promise that I will do my best to stay consistent.
I would love to show all my gratitude to some community friends that inspire me every day to give my best: Max Pete, Julian Lopes, Matt Mecham, my mentor Rosie Sherry and some amazing community leaders Brian Oblinger, Erik Martin and Carrie Melissa Jones (the "queen" of Brand communities).
Are you ready for this! On my side, I am ready!
May the journey begin!
