Chapter 2: Four mistakes made while building a community
Here is Chapter 2 of The Diary of a Community Builder
👋 Community Padawans!
Francisco here from ConnectDots and I am back with one more chapter of The Diary of a Community Builder.
This week I share with you a little more of a journey that started a year and a half ago.
After creating a Twitter group for friends who shared a passion for running, I decided to move on to creating what is now The Journey Endurance Club.
Let me tell you something: it's been an incredible process, and it's only just begun.
Personally, I am really passionate about the mission I have for this project. It all starts with the fact that it brings together community, on the one hand, and trail running on the other. But that will be for another chapter.
Today I will share more about how everything started and what I believe were the four main mistakes I made during this period:
Shortcuts
03:05 | Related to Research
04:25 | Related to Strategy
04:57 | Related to community tools
05:55 | Related to lack of action
One of the goals of this project is to share the entire process of creating a community-driven brand. If, on the one hand, it allows me to reflect on the whole process and draw my conclusions, if I can help fellow community builders, that’s the real win-win situation.
So, please, do not hesitate on asking your questions or suggest other topics for further chapters. Let’s build this together.
Thanks so much for watching.
