Community benefits...beyond the obvious.
Have you ever stopped to think about the benefits of a community beyond the obvious?
👋 Community Padawans!
Here we are to connect one more dot.
I've been thinking about this question for the last few days...
Why community?
And why (personally) the focus and passion for sports-related brands? Wellness? Fitness?
Although this is still a topic that needs to be developed, there are many articles that talk about the benefits of community as a strategy.
🔑 It is clear that having a community strategy is just as important for startups and companies as having a product strategy.
The benefits for the business are clear (I’ve talked about this early this year in this video):
🔺Feedback on the product
🔺Co-creation;
🔺Operations;
🔺Cost reduction;
🔺Support;
(List could go on...)
Now, we can go beyond the obvious. There are aspects that, even though they are not so measurable, and often for business leaders it is not something "tangible" or the most important thing, the positive impact for the members is very clear.
Nelson Mandela said:"Sports have the power to change the world. It has the power to inspire, the power to unite people in a way that little else does."
Let's now think about the power of community in sports, fitness, or wellness-related brands.
Sport goes far beyond the competition.
It is clearly something inspirational, motivational, and transformational.
There is an opportunity to gather people with the same purpose around a brand.
And, all the benefits mentioned above, are now shared by a very positive impact on people's lives. On their well-being. Their image. Motivation.
As a brand, it is all about making a difference.
Being able to change people's habits. Create and lead to transformation.
Do you want some examples?
Now you ask:
Why community
? And why the focus on sports-related brands? Wellness? Fitness?
It is just the beginning.
That’s it for this week’s Connect Dots. Thanks so much for being part of this journey…connecting dots!
